Rules and Standards
Parking: The roads within the Park are narrow, so we ask that you do not park on the roadway. This helps prevent accidents. ALL vehicles MUST have an Aspen Grove Campground Vehicle Permit whenever parked anywhere in the campground anytime, including overflow parking areas. No parking in vacant sites without permission. Trailers carrying boats/quads/ATVs/dirt bikes, or other equipment/items must be parked in overflow parking areas, not on campsites.
All visitors must be registered, check in, and obtain a vehicle permit at the Camp Office. All visitors must park in the overflow parking lot.
We reserve the right to rent out your site if you have not checked into your selected site or if you check out early for the season. If you pull out of your site during the season and someone else (friends or family) pulls their trailer onto the site regular camping fees will apply to the person checking into the campsite. There is no subletting/renting out of your camper and/or campsite; this action will be grounds for immediate eviction. If you are selling your camper and not continuing to camp during the season, you will be checked out early and there will be no refund of camping fees. If the people purchasing your camper want to continue to camp as a seasonal camper they will have to register and fill out this paper work and pay for their camping fees to Aspen Grove Campground and must be approved by management. You cannot sell your site with your camper as it isn’t your site to sell.
The Campground has the right to use your site if you have pulled out during the season temporarily; every effort will be made to advise you of this however due to circumstances we may not be able to advise you prior to the usage.
All Seasonal Campers are required to have a gate key ($25.00 deposit required), these keys will be included in your seasonal pkg upon check in. If you would like to keep your key from the previous season to next season that is fine. Locks will be changed at the end of the season for the winter.
Quads/ATV’s and dirt bikes use is prohibited within the park. The exception is if mgmt needs to use one for Park maintenance. Getting into the bush or moving equipment. There is to be no drop off or pick up inside the park of ATV Passengers; you may load and unload up top near the dumpsters or on the outroad in the opening across from the sandpit.
Be respectful and considerate of other guests, campground property, and the environment. Please pick up after yourself and your pets. Do not trespass on/through other people’s campsites (including sites of absent campers). Misuse, tampering, defacing, moving, or altering campground or other people’s property is not tolerated. Do not drill or staple anything to your provided picnic table. All campers are responsible for their actions and their behaviour.
Inappropriate/Illegal behavior will not be tolerated on or off your site. Anyone exhibiting violent behavior will face an immediate eviction and the involvement of law enforcement. As a seasonal camper you are responsible for the behavior of your guests.
Quiet time is from 11:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. Audio equipment and noisy activities are prohibited during Quiet Time. Aspen Grove Management reserves the right to limit the number of people on a site at any time.
Please be considerate and look after our trees. A permanent eviction will be given to anyone creating additional space, including paths, by destruction or removal of live trees or brush without permission. Brush is damaged when stepped on/through repeatedly or used as storage space. It is the seasonal camper’s responsibility to regularly inspect and loosen or remove tight cords tied to trees in and around their site. Please notify us of dead trees around your site. If the tree is determined dead upon inspection, we will cut it down under our guidelines. In some cases your camper may be required to be moved off the site during the tree removal procedure.
Dogs (and other pets) are allowed in the campground, provided they are friendly, do not continually bark and are kept on a leash at all times. Pet owners will be held responsible for picking up after their pets. Pets are not allowed inside the fenced in pool area or on the sand of the play structure.
Your site must always be tidy and free of rubbish and derelict items. It is your responsibility to keep your site mowed for the entire season. The bush is not part of your site, please do not mow into the bush to extend your site. Mowers and fuel are provided at no charge at the shed behind the office and there is a shed with mowers across from sites169/170. If you do not mow or are unable to mow your site, please speak to the office. We can arrange to mow your site for a fee.
Tents for guests on seasonal campsites will be charged overnight camping fees (tent fees). An exception may be granted to Seasonal Camper’s children, who are living with them and under 18 years of age. Dining tents not used for sleeping are no extra charge.
Garbage is to be bagged, tied, and deposited into the dumpsters located throughout the park. Please recycle appropriate items using the recycling bins, also located throughout the park. Recycling does not need to be bagged. We are unable to dispose of propane tanks, or any large items (such as furniture or appliances), these are the responsibility of the owners of the items to dispose of.
For safety and environmental preservation, campfires are permitted in fire pits only. Please ensure your fire is extinguished before you leave your site or turn in for the night. Ash buckets and shovels are provided throughout the park for you to empty your fire pits as you see fit. Do not put ashes in the bush. If you need assistance emptying your ashes please notify staff at the Camp Office and Store.
Should you wish to pull your camping unit out of the Park for any length of time, please advise the Camp Office in person or via email, of the time you and your unit will be away. Failure to do so will be assumed you have left for the balance of the season and checked out. Items left behind will be stored for 30 days at the seasonal campers risk and expense, and released upon payment. After 30 days, all possessions become the property of Aspen Grove Campground. Compensation or forewarning should not be expected. This does not include items left on your site at the end of season for returning seasonal campers.
Campground permission is required prior to moving an RV/trailer onto a site. The outside of RV’s and non permanent structures must be kept clean, visually appealing, and in good physical condition. Aspen Grove Campground reserves the right to enter & inspect campsites at any time. Tarps or covers over trailers and buildings are only permitted in the off-season however not recommended (holds moisture). Washing/Rinsing vehicles or Campers is not allowed with campground water. If you bring in your own water to powerwash trailers and decks that is fine but you are not permitted to use our water for washing RV, Cars, Decks etc. If you hire anyone to provide this service for you they are not permitted to use our filtered and treated water.
You are responsible for insuring your camping unit, structure(s), and personal belongings on your campsite. We are not responsible for accidents, theft, break-ins, or losses of any kind.
Policy violators or suspicious persons should be reported to management immediately. We ask that all complaints and concerns be directed to management. This allows us to deal with your concerns both expediently and efficiently. Aspen Grove Campground reserves the right to have any person vacate the campground for 24 hours effective immediately upon violation of any of the campground’s regulations.
Non permanent additional structures may be added to campsites only with permission. The only authorized additional structures are: Add a Room, decks, firewood boxes, and temporary Metal sheds, Resin Privacy screens or Garden Gazebos, temporary privacy screens.
All camping units must have tires on, valid license plates on at all times and insured. All structures must be able to be moved for emergencies or maintenance, thus no permanent structures are allowed.
Use of amenities is at the risk of the guest. Children under age 12 must be supervised at all times by an adult over the age of 18. Playground equipment is designed for children only, please no adults on the equipment.
Pool Rules
For safety reasons, rules to be followed in the pool area are:
- No diving
- No glass
- No smoking
- No pets
- Swimsuits only in the pool
- Children who are not fully potty trained must wear a swimming diaper (Available for sale in the Camp Store)
Important to Know
There are areas of Poison Ivy throughout the Park. We do our best to treat these areas but your best defence is knowing how to identify it and avoid it, and how to treat a reaction should you come in contact with it.
You may run a tab at the Camp Store, if you have a valid credit card on file.
All campers are required to read, sign and adhere to the Aspen Code of Conduct document. This document will be sent to you prior to your stay, in your reservation confirmation email.
Drone usage by campers is allowed in designated areas and only with management’s permission and without recording capability. When using the drone, one must ensure that you are not invading other campers’ privacy. If we receive any complaints from campers your permission will be revoked.
Other Policies
Guest Policy
The only guests permitted to stay in campsites when the registered renters are not present are direct family members. (Adult children, siblings, parents, grandparents.) These guests must be registered by the Seasonal Camper in advance and the guest must register to get their car tags upon arrival. Guests of guests, are not allowed to stay on the campsite, for example.
Electricity Policy
All guests are asked to conserve power and prevent unnecessary power usage. This includes measures such as turning off air conditioning, fans, lights, ect. overnight and when leaving the Park, and opting for LED or solar solutions. There is a fee for additional large appliances (ie: freezers, refrigerators, air conditioners) used inside or outside of campers. All extra appliances are to be plugged into the camper/RV, not into the pedestal. For safety reasons, coiled extension cords, “octopus” splitters, and live open sockets are not allowed.
Temporary Structure Policy
All additional Structures must have a site plan, submitted in person or via email to management. Site plan must have received written approval to move forward. Types of considered additional structures include decks, sheds, privacy screens, sand boxes, and other structures subject to management approval.
All additional Structures must comply within the following guidelines:
- No structure may be permanent
- No structure may be dug into the ground
- No structure may totally block the front of your site
- All structures must be able to be moved for maintenance purposes
- All sites must be put back to their original state once you leave your site or move sites( ie: if you are not returning seasonally to the same site) This includes removing wood chips, stone, any landscaping efforts
- Sheds must be placed at the back of your site, as per approved site plan
- Privacy screen cannot be mounted in the ground, must be white or natural wood colour, the max height 4 ft, max width = 20% of the opening of your site & placed a minimum of 25 feet back from the roadway into your site.
- All screens must be removed at the end of the season and placed at the back of your site
Evictions
Management may give a permanent eviction for any infraction of these Rules, Standards, or Policies. If evicted, Seasonal Campers will be given 7 days from the day of notice to remove all possessions. In the 7-day period, owners will inspect the site and assess any damages. All monies owed must be paid in full before belongings can be removed. Any possessions left after 7 days will be stored for 30 days at the seasonal camper’s risk and expense, and released upon payment. After 30 days, all possessions become the property of Aspen Grove Campground. There is no refund or compensation with any eviction.
Privacy Policy
All personal information supplied to us is for our own records and shall be retained only for as long as necessary. It is Aspen Grove Campground’s policy not to disclose personal information to a 3rd party and is securely disposed of when no longer required.
Firewood Policy
No ash firewood is to be brought into the Park.
All firewood in the Park is to be bought through the Camp Store. Absolutely no third-party suppliers are allowed in the Park.
